I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies in Elementary Education at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I have a Master’s level additional certification in Gifted Education from Samford University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.

This is my 17^th year teaching. I taught first grade at Charles F. Hard Elementary for two years. For eleven years I taught second grade at Westhills Elementary School. This is my fourth year as a System-Wide Gifted Specialist.

I am a product of the Bessemer City School System. I attended Charles F. Hard Primary and Middle School. I am a 1992 graduate of Jess Lanier High School.

I service students in grades 3-5 at Charles F. Hard Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, Jonesboro Elementary, and grade 6 at Bessemer City Middle School. I also provide consultative services for grades 7 and 8 at Bessemer City Middle School.
