This year begins my 29th year as an educator.  I  taught 7th and 8th grade reading and language arts for 15 years in Birmingham City Schools.  This year also begins my 14th year as a School Counselor here at C. F. Hard Elementary School.  I interact daily with students, parents and faculty.

I am a bronze, silver and gold recipient of the R.A.V.E. Award, which stands for the Recognition and Verification of Excellence in Guidance and Counseling, given by the Alabama Counseling Association.

     Hello, my name is Yolanda D. Williams.  I'm a 1985 graduate of Jess Lanier High School.  A proud product of the Bessemer City Schools system.  This year begins my 29th year as an educator. 

     I am married to my best friend Harold and we have three energetic chidren, Jamarius 25, Jai'Brion 22, and Jabreia 18.  They keep me busy with singing engagements and volleyball.  

     When I am not attending the above activities, I can be found surfing the net, watching a good movie or spending time with my family or friends.  I am a member of Phi Delta Kappa, International Fraternity for Educators and I'm also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
